Tadokoro: You three will produce a song that your class will perform at your graduation ceremony next month.
Haruhi: Come again?
Kairi: Wuh? For our graduation?
Ashino: The Headquarters placed a formal request for you three to collaborate with your classmates on this last assignment. Take it as a graduation project of sorts.
Kagura: I, I don’t know what to say… An honour—yes, it’s a great honour to take on that task.
Kairi: Kairi-kyun ‘s down for it! No classes, no plans ahead, he’s free as a li’l birdie~!
Haruhi: …Speaking technicalities, do we have a guideline to follow or motif we should aim for?
Tadokoro: There is no theme, no guideline nor rules to stop you. You’re free to do as you please.
Haruhi: So you’re basically leaving all the heavy lifting to us…
Ashino: Hahah, that’s one way to see it. Let’s say us professors have blindly delegated every decision to our brilliant students’ wise judgement.
Kairi: No way, their shenanigans got you too Ashinocchi…
Tadokoro: Your fellow composers will help with the production. In the meantime, the vocalists will rehearse during the month for the ceremony’s performance.

Kagura: What about this hook then? Opinions?
Kairi: Kairi-kyun doesn’t mind either, he can do both.
Haruhi: Mh, I don’t know… If we wanna give it this… Grandiose and lasting impression, we should lay it thick on the hook…
Kairi: See? We’ve figured out a solution!
Kagura: Have you even given our suggestions proper thought…?
Kairi: Yeah! The moment the cogs are set in motion, you two gonna deliver somethin’ that’ll knock our socks off, no doubts about it.

Towa: We made so many good memories with them, it almost hurts a little to think back on…
Mirai: Ehe, an’ their personality, man: can’t turn a blind eye on these guys wherever they went.
Sora: They had similar intensity towards life itself, but very different approaches to it!
Towa: It’s going to be so quiet around here without Kurahashi-kun and Takatsuki-kun fighting…
Mirai: Dun’ forget Kaji’s scythin’ passive-aggressiveness!
Sora: Totally!
Towa: I don’t exactly know how to explain this feeling, it’s, um… I feel like it takes us more courage to stay behind and see them off at their graduation than the contrary.
Mirai: …I getcha: at the end of the day, we’re left with nothin’ but sadness an’ the memories, huh…

Kagura: I intend to share a few parting words and my sentiments during our introduction speech, albeit I won’t be rehearsing for it. As for Kurahashi, he will get to convey his feelings plenty during the performance.
You, on the other hand… You did not have that opportunity offered to you, as far as I’m aware.
Haruhi: Yeaaah… I generally leave that voice and space to someone else.
Kagura: In that case, why not write the lyrics? You could use such an important task as an outlet, in my humble opinion…
Haruhi: Huh, I didn’t think of it that way.
Kagura: …So, what do you say? You’re free to decline, of course, and I would unders–
Haruhi: I’ll do it.
Kagura: …I see. I’m glad to hear it.
Haruhi: This is our last time doing this together, after all. You’re right, I could use a liiittle introspection. I have a few things I need to tell everyone before we leave, and… I want to show them what the future holds for us.

Iori: I suppose I’m a little out of the loop with everything that has been happening. I just… I won’t ever be the same without the three of them around.

AI: Takarada-san, what inspired you to start music?
Iori: How did it all start, hm… I think I found myself absorbed in singing long before I even realised I liked it.

AI: Kaji-san, what was your motivation to become a composer?

“Hello everyone, this is Iori. Today, February 17th, is my birthday!
First, I would like to thank you for all the messages you sent me. I read them all and your words really touched me. You all showed me the true power of wishing the best for someone.
With songs and my singing, I hope to return all the joy you have given me thus far. Look forward to it, and wait for me.
Each year, I’m reminded how precious every single person that has supported me is. Once again, thank you for making my birthday such a happy event to look forward to.
Please keep cheering me on for the days to come.”
