“A Flower Shower, From Me to You”

chapter one

[Wizards’ Manor—Courtyard]

Murr: Heyyy, Cain-Cain! Over heeere~!

Cain: Hm? Murr, is that you?

Murr: Great timing! Just when I needed a hand—Here, take these!

Cain: What is– Woah!? …Don’t shove it all up in my face, I can’t see a thing!

Whew… Give me a heads up next time you’re gonna jump on me, gee… Wait a minute, that’s a whole pile of rainflowers you got there! What are you going to do with it?

Murr: Something that will take your breath away! Come, follow me!

Cain: Huh? Murr, wait!

Murr: Chop chop, hurry up! C’mon!

Cain: Haha, I barely blinked and I’m already all up in his antics. Seriously, what’s he planning…

Well, not that it matters, he’ll have it his way regardless. Alright, I’ll be right there!

(Cain flies to Murr.)

Murr: Oh, Cain! Almost didn’t wait for you! Do you have the flowers I gave you?

Cain: Haha, hope what you have planned is worth the wait then. But yes, here they are—not a single one is missing.

So? What are we going to do with it? A flower festival after-party?

Murr: Say, do you know what “rainflower” means in the language of flowers?

Cain: I think I’ve heard what it was once, hmm… Nope, can’t recall.

Murr: Drum roll please! The answer is… “true love!”

Cain: Oh, that’s a rather “classic” romantic definition for it. That’s nice, I like it.

Murr: Me too! Every person has their interpretation of the word, but as long as the feelings you convey through these flowers are genuine, their understanding is meaningless.

That’s exactly how I feel about my love for my darling Calamity!

Cain: Uh-huh, I get it… I think…

Murr: To put it simply: I’m gonna give aaall these flowers to my dear Great Calamity!

chapter two

[Wizards’ Manor—Sky]

Cain: A gift to the moon? That sounds nice and all, but how do you plan to send them?

Murr: I will launch them into the sky with magic. You’ll see, it’ll illuminate the night just like fireworks!

Cain: I’m sure it would, but the Calamity hangs high up in the sky, beyond where fireworks can reach, remember?

Murr: Whaaat? Really?

Cain: I mean, you know the ins and outs of the Great Calamity way more than I—no, than any of us do…

Murr: I see, so fireworks won’t be enough to reach you after all… Forgive me, my beloved Calamity. I’m as disappointed as you are…

Oh well! Looks like I have no use for these flowers anymore.

Cain: Wait, why don’t you give them to someone else instead of just… throwing them away?

Murr: Do you want them, Cain? Who will you offer them to? Or perhaps you will throw them in the trash? Whatever the answer, you can have them!

Cain: I feel like they would lose their meaning if you gave them to me, you know?

Murr: Hmm… Ah! Shylock and Master Sage are strolling in the courtyard…

Change of plans, I have a new idea! We could take these two by surprise with an impromptu flower shower!

Cain: A flower shower of rainflowers… I like where you’re going with that!

Murr: I’m sure it’ll look lovely too!

Cain: And there’s no risk for them to get hurt by the flowers, even at this height. Alright, count me in!

Murr: That’s what I like to hear! We’ll throw them on the count of three. Ready?

Cain: Whenever you are!

Murr & Cain: One, two… Three!

“In Order to Convey My Love”

[Wizard’s Manor—Courtyard]

Akira: That’s a lot of boxes you’re carrying, Murr… What are they for? Are you preparing for something?

Murr: Heya, Master Sage! I’m running a little experiment to see if there’s anything that can surpass the height fireworks can attain!

My darling Calamity hangs so far from my reach, after all.

Akira: Oh, that reminds me of that time you had to give up the idea of giving it all those rainflowers…

Murr: Yep, I remember; that’s precisely why I’m exploring new ways to deliver my “true love” in flower-tongue!

Akira: You often make passionate love declarations to the Great Calamity, so I was wondering… Could you recite one of those love confessions? If that’s not too much to ask, of course…

Murr: Hmm, I don't memorise them though! I just say anything and everything that crosses my mind in the heat of the moment!

When I look up at the Calamity, the words rush forth effortlessly like wild-water. Once it starts, nothing can stop me from pouring out my heart until words fail me again.

Regardless of what may come out of my mouth, it will always be a declaration of love to my sweet Calamity.

Akira: Th, that was so smooth...

Murr: That being said, I have other methods to convey my love to try. See you later!

Akira: See you, and good luck with your… Huh?

Wait, Murr, stop! What is… Is that a bomb!? Yes it’s dangerous, you can’t experiment with that!

“Let’s get this everlasting party started! Why everlasting, you ask? Because I know that’s what you want: you wish for this party to never end. Did you think I wouldn’t notice, Master Sage?”
