“The Power that Lies Inside the Egg”
[North Country—Hot Spring Village]
Akira: Hrm… Do I do it, or do I not…
Bradley: Hey Sage, whatcha got there?
Akira: Bradley! Well, the villagers gave me these eggs they boiled in water from the spring nearby.
They told me that I would be swift as a wolf if I ate some, and that I would be as strong as a dragon, so I don’t really know what to make of it…
Bradley: Nah, just a few boiled eggs can't have all these weirdass effects on ya.
They dun’ look like they're imbued with magic anyway. Sounds like the folks here just like ta oversell the springs’ revitalizin’ properties.
Akira: Oh, okay, I see…
Bradley: Looks like that wasn’t whatcha wanted to hear.
Akira: Ahaha… It's just, you know… I was dreading eating them, but since it’s so foreign to everything I know, I was honestly getting a little excited to see its effects on me, so…
Bradley: Ya really gotta stop blindly believin’ err’thin’ some guy tells you.
Anyway, since ya got free life advice, dun' mind if I help myself to these eggs in exchange–
Akira: Ah–hey!
Bradley: Gulp– See? Nothin’ outta the–
Bradley: —gh! Whadda hell…!?
Akira: Bradley!?
Bradley: Ugh…! I take err’thin’ back, that’s one damn potent egg...!
Akira: Don’t, don’t tell me you’re… actually turning into a wolf, or a dragon–
Bradley: No one’s turnin’ into anythin’, dumbass.
Akira: !? Did you just flick my forehead…?
Bradley: 'N I toldja to stop takin’ stuff at face value, yeah?
Akira: Huh!? …Wait, that was just pretend!?
Gosh, I don't know if you would have been able to handle that situation! Seriously, I was concerned!
Bradley: Welp, you’ll hafta play it a li’l smarter to not get tricked next time, got it?
