“Empathy for the Wandering Soul”
[Central Country—Village]
Akira: Arthur, I know you’ve been hard at work, but do you have a minute?
Arthur: Master Sage! Things just settled down around here, so I’m all yours.
Akira: I came right on time then: here, the villagers made some refreshments.
They really appreciate what you’re doing for them—so they prepared a little something in return for your enthusiasm and willingness to help.
Arthur: I appreciate the gesture, but there’s no need to thank me, really. I’m only doing what I can to help.
I have been thinking… The village must have been a very special place for the lady. Her attachment ran so deep it beckoned her spirit to return here.
…Or perhaps she realised how irreplaceable this village is to her upon paying her farewells.
She never intended to bring demise to a place so dear to her, I’m sure. Besides–
She desired to return here, even if only as a spirit.
Although we have never met, I can empathise with those sentiments. So I want to be there; I want to offer all the help I can to save her soul.
Akira: Arthur…
Arthur: Parting is also the start to a new journey, after all. We ought to make the best out of this banquet to show her our support on her new adventures.
Akira: I agree! This party should be a sweet memory for her, and for us! Let’s do our best!
Slender Villager: You two, come! We could use a little help over here!
Arthur: Sure thing!
Akira: Coming!
