May 5th marks the birth of the Vocal Department 1st year from the Kyoto branch, Miyazono Tomoe.

For the occasion, Miyazono Tomoe has addressed a video message to the citizens.

"Yeah, yeah, hi, Tomoe here. May 5th, so today, is my birthday, but you know that already. Huh? I don't sound excited about it? Well yeah, because I'm not. It's just another day on the calendar. But thanks a lot for sending so many messages. I'll read them later, when I'm more in the mood for it.

What do I have planned for today? ...Well, all my senpais invited me to eat somewhere, so... Don't get me wrong, I don't want to go! Absolutely not! But if I don't, they're gonna be on my back all day so I'll show up for a bit, just in case. Yeah, that's definitely what happened. Anyway, you all have a nice day, and I hope you'll keep on supporting me. Bye-bye."

Story Summary
After successfully concluding the Growing Fes, the students are once again putting both their heart and soul into the yearly festival: the Tokyo Color Sonic.

This year, the festival’s theme is “Trust”.

Given the opportunity to pick their own buddy, the students formed five new duos.

The seniors—Haruhi, Kairi, and Kagura—are prepared to face their last, ultimate battle, and the other students are determined to match their unwavering drive.

While the groups had just begun producing their new songs, Tadokoro called the vocal team over: “Put yourself in your buddy's shoes, ‘n try to see eye to eye where their decision comes from.”
That conversation left them with more questions than answers: now confronted with a new conundrum, new difficulties emerged.

The entire country has its eyes set on the Color Sonic, who is subjected to a judging process far more severe than ever before.

Who will seize the throne and be crowned as the new KING…?

Story Summary
After overcoming plenty of personal challenges, the well-known childhood friends—Iori and Haruhi—decided to join hands and participate in the Color Sonic together again.
As the former KINGs, Iori is more than eager to give Haruhi, who will soon graduate, another taste of victory.

However, questions remain to be answered, and urgency creeps.
A malaise gets to Iori: the more days go by, the more the vocalist starts to doubt his own competency while the songwriting prodigy seems to be chasing after time.

Years of build up slowly rise from deep within Iori and a certain feeling seems to seep from him. Haruhi, in the midst of this confusing haze, is perturbed by Iori’s reactions…

The closer you are, the less you see.
The deep bond forged between intimate friends, the jealousy, the adoration, and the innate conflict.

Reboost = "to rise once more". What lies ahead for those who try to rise from their ashes…?

Story Summary
Despite being freshmen who joined Ironoha only recently, Tomoe and Oshiro—respectively vocalists and composer—possess extraordinary skills that easily match that of their once-thought unreachable seniors’.

With their experience from the Growing Fes and a renewed passion for music, both aim to overthrow their seniors and claim the throne.

Their cohabitation and musical collaboration naturally brought new discoveries about one another—quick glimpses where Tomoe can see through the usually cheerful Oshiro and peer into the cracks of the composer’s heart… Into subjects Oshiro willingly turned a blind eye on.

On the other hand, Oshiro wants to better understand Tomoe, and what better way than to visit Tomoe’s hometown: Kyoto.
However, the duo did not expect to be greeted by Kanae, Tomoe’s twin, and his parents who were awaiting their son’s return.

Honest motives, true emotions, something that they had to keep secret from everyone; their respective family situations; and their passion for music.
What answers will they find as they live the last of their teenage years to the fullest?

Story Summary
Despite a rough start and a cats-and-dogs relationship, Kairi and Kagura have formed a deep bond after months of living together.
This year is their last attempt, their last chance to reach the top.

Expertise, resolution and passion—things couldn’t go any better, everything seemingly under perfect control. That is, until Kagura hits a wall upon discovering details from Kairi's past.

Without Kagura ever knowing, the loss of a dear friend weighed on Kairi, his heart and soul bound to the memories they shared… A question pervaded within the composer: how has Kairi managed to remain determined, committed and unwavering as a vocalist despite the promise made to his late friend?

At long last, Kagura gets to discover the person that hides behind the name “Kairi”, in his barest form. Yet, the stability Kairi usually demonstrated gradually fell apart as Kagura got closer to the vocalist’s core—too close for Kairi’s comfort.

This Color Sonic is their last resort.
A promise to a late friend, and the buddy who now stands by his side...

Will the two overcome this final obstacle in their career, as Ironoha’s students? Can they exceed their limits and carve their way to this one, single song?

Story Summary
Arashi and Sora overcame their shared issues, solved their personal conflicts, and became the very definition of “best buddies”. Finally, their situation and environment allowed them to confront their music on a personal level.

However, they ran into one problem: the skills they gained through their separation, the changes they experienced revealed a fundamental gap in their musical approach.
The musicality they once shared, something that once fit their duo just right, had been torn apart by their own growth.

The more they attempted to join both ends, the further their approaches drifted apart, growing tragically dissonant.
Puzzled, frustrated, their stress reached a peak...

The promise they swore to each other stood as their only tangible pillar.

Story Summary
Since their first meeting, Towa and Mirai have grown closer, inseparable even: more than close friends, they became an important part of each other’s lives.
Once without goals, Towa found meaning in his singing thanks to Mirai. On the other hand, the deadline Mirai’s father had set for their agreement is looming over the composer, thereby betting it all on their victory at this year’s Color Sonic.

Their wavelengths and shared stability could not have been any better—until the impromptu visit of one of Mirai’s acquaintances: Shidou, a junior from Mirai’s old team back in Nagoya, personally came to find the composer.
But in his junior’s shadow hides another of Mirai’s related acquaintances: Tokugawa, who may be behind an alarming incident involving the Zaizen Group...

Chaos closes in on Mirai. Towa offers all the help he can, but Mirai wants to keep his vocalist’s worries at bay and tries to settle the situation on his own.
But the situation deteriorates far worse than anything they could have anticipated.

Towa believes that he can’t be relied on due to his cowardice, and suffers from his incapacity to act…
The Color Sonic draws closer with every second and, with it, the bet of a lifetime—what could be awaiting Towa and Mirai, at the dawn of that fateful event?

”I have something I want to protect because you are my buddy, because you are my beloved partner.”


The sincerity of their bond will be put to the test.

Story Summary
After wrapping up this year’s Color Sonic and crowning their new KING, a last event awaits the students: Haruhi, Kairi and Kagura’s graduation.
For the occasion, all ten selected members were requested to join forces and compose one last song for this year’s graduation ceremony, led by their three seniors.

“Let’s create a song that only we can produce.”


Haruhi, Kairi and Kagura’s sentiments pile up at the pinnacle of their fourth year at Ironoha Music Academy.

For the very last time all members will collaborate on a title—despite sharing their seniors’ joy, celebrating their graduation, the other members silently carried an ineffable sorrow.

Wherever there is a meeting, a parting is sure to follow. Surely, the path stretching before them will be basked in the brightest of light.

Placing their trust in this creed, each depart for the future that awaits them——
Bonds, graduation, their passion for music, their pride...
Everything that they accumulated over the years will finally come to light in the third season’s climax!
