Chloe: Hrmm… What should I do…

Cain: What’s up Chloe? Something bothering you?

Chloe: Ah, Cain. Actually, I wanted to do something for Master Sage to show them my gratitude, but I don’t really know what…

So I asked the other guests what they would do for someone they care about.

Everybody more or less answered the same thing: I should prioritise what their heart tells me.

Cain: I see… Well, respecting a comrade’s feelings is definitely important.

Chloe: But when I thought it over, I got a bit nervous, like, would I even be able to resonate with their innermost feelings...

Cain: I can see why you were pulling a long face over it... Don’t get all up in your head though, you got this! You always feel for our Master Sage whenever they’re down in the dumps or share their joy, don’tcha?

Chloe: I mean, yeah, but that doesn’t mean-...

Cain: No doubts about it: that is paying attention to the voice in their heart. Try to think about your recent chats with Master Sage, the way their look may have changed; y'know, those kinda things…

Maybe there’s some kinda hint hidden in there that could help you figure things out.

Chloe: Our casual chats… Their look...

Ah! Hmm, maybe… Maybe I could sew a blanket that they could wear like clothes and carry around?

[Blue Roses’ Salon]

Chloe: Master Sage told me they struggle to go to bed, sleepy or not, but don’t want to leave their sheets in the morning because it’s wayyy too comfy!

So with that blanket on, they could fall asleep anytime, anywhere, wake up all bundled up and cosy, yet they’d still be able to move around freely!

Cain: …

Chloe: O-Oh, gosh, sorry! I should watch my manners... I guess my suggestion is a bit out of place for a fancy salon like this…

Cain: No Chloe, on the contrary…

Cain: You’re a li’l genius!

Chloe: Excuse me?

Cain: Sure, we could warm ‘em up with magic, but no spell can beat snuggling up in that kinda blanket. I’m sure Master Sage will be pumped at the idea!

Besides, none of what you said was out of place. You said it yourself earlier: listening to the voice in their heart is your priority.

Chloe: Gosh, I’m so relieved to hear it from you...! I should get to work right away then.

Cain: Yeah, and since I’m here, I’ll give you a hand.

Chloe: Are you sure? That’d be super nice, thank you!

Cain: …I gotta ask something before though… Could you also make one for me later, if you can?

Chloe: Huh?

Cain: It’s just that the way you described it got me so hooked, I was itching for one myself… Going about your day with a blanket on, man, that’s what I call living the dream.

Chloe: Of course, no problem! Ehehe, I feel so much better now. I'll sew the best, most comfy blanket ever, just for you.

[Wizard’s Manor—Chloe’s Bedroom]

Akira: Chloe, I have to thank you again for your gift back at the Blue Roses’ Salon!

Your wearable blanket keeps me toasty warm even when it’s freezing outside!

Chloe: I’m so glad you like it that much~!

Akira: Speaking of, I saw Cain wearing the same blanket—how does he find it? Good as mine?

Chloe: Yep, he’s super pleased with it. He even said that moving around with a blanket on him felt like a dream!

Akira: Another success for you it seems! I feel with Cain though, it's very nice.

Chloe: I’m still adjusting it to be honest, improving it here and there, but I’m touched that you both like it so much!

Akira: Adjustments? It's already perfect to me…

Chloe: Well, thing is... Cain walked down the hallway wearing the blanket the other day, and…

Riquet only saw Cain from behind, so he thought the blanket jumped out of bed and went its merry way all by itself! Poor Riquet, he sounded pretty spooked.

Akira: Pfft-... I probably sh, shouldn't laugh... G-Gee, I should really stop. Oh Riquet, you’re so innocent sometimes.

Chloe: He’s so cute, though the blanket wasn't supposed to scare others either. I hope I can improve it in some way or another…

Akira: I understand now… If there is anything I can do to help, just say the word.

Chloe: I will! Thank you, Master Sage.

Akira: (I better be careful with that blanket, I don’t want to scare the other wizards too…)

“It seems like it won’t get warmer anytime soon, so make sure you dress up accordingly, Master Sage, okay? Everybody, me included, would be worried sick if you caught a cold or something like that. Oh, I’ve got an idea! How about I sew a warm shawl for you? I’ll make sure it’s comfy-cosy, super soft on the skin, and in your favourite colour, of course!”
