chapter one
[West Country—Rural Town]
Arthur: (The smell of grapes envelops the entire town... And everyone seems to be enjoying their time, basking in such a nice aroma.)
(It’s always a delight to see a city brimming with life. Their excitement even makes my own heart race.)
(A bell rings twice, echoing in the distance…)
Villager: Come one and all, try your feet at grape treading! We’ll be starting soon!
Arthur: Grape treading…! That’s one of the festivities Murr mentioned; I should try to take a peek.
Shylock: Fufu, those eyes of yours have such a twinkle—would you allow me to join you, your Highness?
Arthur: Oh, Shylock, by all means.
I assume you’ve already been grape treading before, as you’re such a wine connoisseur, yes?
Shylock: Indeed, I have. The feeling is addicting, no matter how many times I’ve tread upon them. Besides...
I am beyond curious to see your reaction from tasting the sensation of squashing fresh grapes.
Arthur: I'm a little embarrassed to hear those words from you, but your presence would greatly reassure me. Let’s go together then!
⁂
Arthur: A… Amazing…!
This cask is filled to the brim with grapes! Are you certain we’re permitted to step on them barefoot?
Shylock: Why, of course. This is the method behind grape treading, after all: you have no need for usual civilities.
Arthur: Ahaha, I suppose you’re right.
Arthur: Shylock, is there any particular technique or etiquette I should follow? I’ve heard that grape treading is a tradition here, and I don’t want to offend anyone.

chapter two
[West Country—Rural Town]
Shylock: Your Highness, this is the Western Country: elegant or dashingly bold, your own enjoyment shall always prevail.
One thing you should be aware of… Well, you simply need to be careful or you may stain your clothing with grapes.
Arthur: Understood, I certainly can't dirty the clothes you prepared for us. Thank you for the advice.
Shylock: The pleasure is mine, and I appreciate your concern.
Arthur: It’s a precious garment offered by a friend, it goes without saying. Well, let’s get started then…
That… That’s incredibly plush!
It’s also nice and cold... Ahaha, that’s fun!
Shylock: Fufu, and we are only getting started: there is more to come.
Arthur: Hm? Everybody began dancing in the casks to the music other townsfolk were singing…
Shylock: Waltzing in a sumptuous reception hall has its own virtue, but a dance party held in casks is also plenty entertaining, don’t you think?
Arthur: It is, but this would make for an unforgettable moment if I had a partner to dance with.
Arthur: So… Would you honour me with a dance?
Shylock: I would be delighted to oblige, Prince Arthur.
So, which will it be first? An elegant waltz, or…
Arthur: This is a rare opportunity, so let’s be daring and bold!

“Excitement Fills The Glass”
[Wizard’s Manor—Dinner Room]
Arthur: Master Sage, would you like to open this bottle with me?
Akira: Is that… A wine bottle? It’s got a gorgeous colour to it.
Arthur: That it is. I purchased this bottle of grape juice at the harvest festival, and immediately fell in love with its colours, as it looks just like a sunset…
It would be a shame to keep this bottle all to myself, and I thought that you might like to try it as well.
Akira: Thank you for thinking of me, I’ll definitely take you up on the offer!
Still, drinking grape juice from a wine bottle feels kind of special, like we’re drinking actual alcohol.
Arthur: You think so too, Master Sage? In fact, there’s another reason why this bottle caught my eye.
Akira: Another reason?
Arthur: Yes, it brought back memories from when I was only a child with Master Oz. Back then, he gave me a similar beverage as a gift.
Then, he poured the drink into a real wine glass, the one he would usually use. I will never forget how much my heart was pounding in my chest at that time.
Akira: Oz... That must have been a significant moment for you.
Arthur: It was! I remember how this juice, something any child could drink, seemed to be glistening in that very glass…
Just the feeling that I, too, could become an adult like Master Oz made me feel incredibly happy.

“I’m a little curious… I wonder what alcohol tastes like. Master Figaro told me that we would share a drink once I’m old enough. I'm eagerly looking forward to when that day comes.”
