“A Souvenir From The Dragons’ Palace”
[Dragons’ Palace]
Akira: (...Hm? There’s something shiny on the floor...)
Wow, it’s actually way sparklier from up close, and it’s so pretty! It’s light and thin like a seashell, but… what is this thing?
Figaro: That “thing” in your hands is the scale of a dragon.
Akira: Wh- hold on, when you say “scale”, do you mean that those are from the dragons living here...?
Figaro: Spot on. Ah, and I recognise those shades: this can only be one of my own scales.
Akira: Isn't shedding scales an issue though? It’s a part of you guys’ bodies after all, and I feel like it could be rather painful...
Figaro: You do not need to worry so much, I’m going to be fine. It probably just came off on its own, a bit like how your hair naturally falls out, see?
Akira: …Ah, so that’s how they work. Phew, that’s a relief.
That being said, I had never seen a dragon’s scale with my own eyes before. It has that pearlescent lustre, just like a precious stone.
Figaro: You seem to have taken a liking to it, so why don’t you keep it as a souvenir from visiting the palace?
A dragon’s scale is highly valuable when used as an amulet. The stronger the dragon, the more effects it can procure.
Akira: Incredible… Are you sure I can have it? I mean, I’m sure something coming from you would work wonders, but…
Figaro: Of course I am, but be mindful that I do not give it to just anyone.
Akira: Come again?
Figaro: It’s a precious part of my body, so I’m counting on you to treasure it, all right?
Akira: (Could it be that this scale is… actually an integral part of his body…!?)
