CARD STORY

By The Waterside, With You

 

Akira: (The ocean is gorgeous... It almost looks emerald green.)

Figaro: Take this!

(Splash)

Akira: Wah!?

I was strolling along the beach when I suddenly felt a splash on my back: Figaro had scooped a handful of water and threw it at me.

Figaro: Surprised?

Akira: Well, yes… I wasn’t expecting you to pull that sort of joke, Figaro.

Figaro: But in your world, two people in an intimate relationship splash and chase each other when on a beach. Isn’t that how it goes, Master Sage?

Lord Snow heard it from the previous Sage, so I thought I'd give it a go myself. We are on a beach together, after all.

Akira: I’m not so sure, it's not like I've had the opportunity to actually see people like that in real life...? Perhaps on karaoke screens, maybe… ⁽¹⁾

Figaro: Karaoke? I don’t really understand, but it sounds like you had fun.

Come now, Master Sage, you’re on. Shower me with water and chase my back.

Akira: Excuse me?

Figaro: I wonder, will you be able to catch me?

Akira: I feel like that chase would end pretty quickly, especially with you, Figaro.

Figaro: Ahaha, blew my cover already.

Akira: (What did I expect...)

Figaro: Change of plans, then: are you ready, Master Sage?

Akira: Whoa, wait, hold on a minute! Ready for what?

Figaro: For me to chase you. Forgive me if I end up using my magic, alright?
