“Connect the Stars”
[Wizards’ Manor—Courtyard]
Shylock: Master Sage, take a look to the west. One of the stars glows paler than the others in the sky.
Akira: Oh, you're right, I think that one is… “Shylock”, if I’m not mistaken?
Shylock: Dear, you are correct. I’m glad you remembered our previous conversations.
It is one of Murr's bygone discoveries. He once announced that he had named a star after me, granted that I cannot guarantee the truthfulness of that statement of his.
Akira: Back in my world, we also often gave names to stars.
Shylock: My, my, is there a star bearing your name as well, Master Sage?
Akira: That would be impossible...! But what we do have are “constellations.” I don’t think the concept exists here.
You just have to connect the stars to make a shape. For example, there—it vaguely looks like the shape of a scorpion, yes? Therefore we would name it ‘Scorpius’…
When I was little, I used to look up at the sky and make up my own constellations.
Shylock: Fufu, that is a marvelous way to spend time. Had we joined you, we, Western Wizards, would have lost track of time.
However, I would suggest not to usher a word on the matter to Murr.
Akira: Why is that?
Shylock: He is a curious soul at heart. All evening… No, rather, he would spend days and nights making constellations with you.
Akira: That would be an issue, for sure...
Shylock: Fufu, hence why you must reserve this deliciously novel concept for our private enjoyment only, do you understand?
