SR Figaro (Covering His Students’ Back) “The Truth Behind His Nightmare” (North Concerto)
chapter one
[Wizards’ Manor—Foyer, First Storey Hallway]
Mitile: Sigh…
Owen: What’s that sigh for, Mitile? Is something on your mind?
Mitile: Wah! Mi-mister Owen…
It’s nothing, I was just taking a deep breath, really, I wasn’t sighing or anythi-…
Owen: Was I wrong? And here I thought you had a scary nightmare that kept you awake, just like me.
Mitile: H-huh? You too Mister Owen…?
Owen: Say, why don’t we chat for a bit? That’ll distract us and we’ll be back in bed in no time, don’t you think?
Figaro: In that case, shall I lend you a listening ear?
Mitile: Doctor Figaro!
Owen: …
Figaro: Those said-nightmares are only proof that you haven’t been doing so well, haven’t you? It’s in those dire moments that a doctor makes his entrance—so here I am.
Mitile: He’s right! I think I’d feel a lot better after talking a little. We’re in luck, right, Mister Owen?
Owen: … I saw Figaro…
Mitile: Hm?
Owen: In my dream, I saw a terrifying wizard that looked just like Figaro, and he smashed us all into a gooey mess.
I tried to protect and save everyone, but I got shredded to pieces. I bled a lot, and I felt my body getting colder and colder. The next second, I was dead.
Figaro: …All right, I see.
Owen: Tell me, why did I have that nightmare? Perhaps our kind Doctor Figaro from the South was the wolf in sheep’s clothing all along…
Figaro: Owen.
Owen: What, is that conversation not going the way you like?
Figaro: 《 Possideo 》
Owen: …!

chapter two
[Wizards’ Manor—Foyer, First Storey Hallway]
Owen: …!
Mitile: Doctor Figaro…!?
Figaro: Oh, oops, I didn’t mean to spook you two. It’s on me, sorry. I was just inspecting his dream.
You can fish out good omens from hidden clues in your dreams sometimes, even nightmares, you know?
However, it seems that the dream I saw was slightly different from the one you spoke of. Oh well, dreams can be fuzzy, and we forget most of it once we wake up anyway, that’s nothing we have power over.
Owen: …
Figaro: So, do you want me to explain what the dream you really had meant?
Owen: No.
Figaro: Is that so? A shame, really. But don’t worry, it just alludes that good will happen to you soon.
Owen: You’re just saying what you want to hear, and your childish tricks don’t work on me-…
Figaro: Oh? What do I have in my pocket… That’s right! A candy! Here, Owen, you can have it. I told you something good would happen to you soon, now, didn’t I?
Owen: …Hmph.
Mitile: Ah! Wai-...! And he’s gone…
Mister Owen’s nightmare sounded scary, but I’m glad that it didn’t mean any harm was coming his way.
Figaro: So am I, that seemed to relieve him of some of his uneasiness, even if only a little.
You’re having trouble sleeping too, aren’t you? Now, do tell your Doctor Figaro what you dreamt about.
Mitile: Oh, that’s very nice of you, thank you! Um, so where do I start...
Figaro: Take your time. How about we study your dream around some tea? The night is still young, after all.

“Sad Dreams Seldom Come True”
[Wizard’s Manor—Lounge]
Akira: So I’ve heard from Mitile that you can interpret dreams, hm? Could you also do it with mine, if that’s okay with you?
Figaro: Sure, we can even do it right now.
That being said, would you rather have me peek inside your head, or will you tell me all about it yourself instead?
Akira: (This sure is an unsettling way of presenting things…)
Well, uh, I’d rather explain it myself. The thought of someone looking inside my brain is kind of embarrassing.
Figaro: Ahaha, got it. So, what was your dream about?
Akira: Mitile and I were going shopping, but it started pouring on the way, so we had to turn back…
Figaro: I see. Don’t worry, a downpour doesn’t bear ill omen in a dream. On the contrary, rain washes away mistakes, and it’s a sign that luck will be coming your way. If anything, you should be happy with that reading.
Akira: Oh! I’m glad then!
Although… I know, it was only a dream and nothing more, but Mitile looked so sad about it… I can’t get his face out of my head…
Figaro: …Hey, if you’ve got nothing going, you could hang out with Mitile, don’t you think?
Akira: Come again?
Figaro: You won’t feel any better if you still have a sad Mitile haunting your thoughts, no matter the interpretation I give of your dream, yes?
I'm sure you and Mitile will have a great day and you’ll forget about your dream in no time. Seeing the both of you with a smile on your face is what brings me happiness, you know?
Akira: That’s so nice of you, Figaro! I’ll ask Mitile right away then!
